Retail sales dashboard
An executive dashboard to spot trends, performance drops, and commercial opportunities in retail sales.
Problem
A retail business needs to understand which products, categories, and periods drive the most sales and profitability. The goal is to turn raw transactional data into an executive view that surfaces trends, performance drops, and commercial opportunities.
Data source
Practice project using a public or simulated retail sales dataset, including variables such as date, product, category, units, sales, costs, margin, and location. The exact source will be specified in the final version of the project.
Analysis
The data will be cleaned and structured, KPIs for sales, units, margin, and growth will be built, and performance will be analyzed by period, category, product, and location. High-volume, low-profitability products and relevant trend shifts will also be identified.
Solution
An interactive dashboard will be built so a manager can quickly review commercial performance, filter the data, and spot categories or products that need attention. The project will close with recommendations based on the analysis findings.
Results & impact
Practice project. The output will be a working dashboard and a set of business insights drawn from the dataset. No percentage improvements or financial impact will be presented as real without supporting evidence.
